Subway,
I am writing to report about the hideous service at the new Subway, in the IGA on Mt Victor Road here in Bowling Green, KY.
I have visited 3 times since the grand opening last Tuesday and have had a problem each time.
The first visit was last Wednesday, and I ordered a foot long tuna sandwich with veggies. When I told the genius behind the counter that I wanted green peppers he looked at me with confusion and, after several seconds of hesitation, started putting jalapeƱos on my sandwich! I'm really not concerned about that, except insofar as to say that this kid will also be the one counting back my change.
The second time I went there was last Wednesday, when I ordered a footlong chicken sandwich with no cheese. I laid my $5.30 out the counter and the girl insisted that the sandwich was $6.35. I didn't want to be rude and argue, so I gave her the extra buck and left.
Now, tonight, I went down about 9:45 PM. When I got there I started ordering my sandwich and mentioned to the shift leader, "Kevin" that last time I was in here I got overcharged by a buck for the chicken sandwich and pointed to the new menu insert that clearly included the chicken sandwich. "Kevin" responded to me by giving me a dirty look and walking away.
I ordered a Spicy Italian with no cheese and a cookie and the idiot behind the counter tells me $6.84. Once again, they try to overcharge my by over a dollar and this time I told the guy behind the counter that he could throw the sandwich in the garbage before I'm going to pay that much for it. He calls "Kevin", who unhappily adjusts the price for me.
On my short walk home I stopped at the other convenience store on the street and the clerks in there all tells me that the exact same thing has happened to all of them as well and they won't be coming back soon.
I certainly can understand and am will to be patient with brand new employees who are slow, as I have been there many times, but I don't appreciate one bit being consistently overcharged for what I order. One time is a mistake, many times is a disconcerting pattern of dishonesty.
WHEN YOU DO THAT YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME.
You people need to get your **** together and treat your customers with a little more respect.
