The Bowling Green Chamber Orchestra will hold auditions for lead singers for its Countrymadness concert, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 8th and 9th, 2008 at the Capitol Arts Theatre. The concert is part of the orchestra's Retro Series of concerts, which has included Beatlemadness, One-Hit Wonders, Motownmadness, and The '70s Show. Countrymadness will feature the greatest hits of classic country, centering on those songs from the '50s, '60s and '70s that used orchestra as part of the original recordings. The concert is being sponsored by Country Music Café and Brian Schuette, Attorney at Law.

Auditions will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 30, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Corvette Museum Theatre. Interested persons should contact BGCO music director Jeff Reed at jreed@bgco.com. Singers must audition from a song list supplied by the orchestra and must pre-register by the close of business on Friday, September 28th to be eligible for participation. Those auditioning should have prior experience performing for large crowds. Auditioners must make themselves available for rehearsals starting in January 2008.
