Some are worse than others, and it appears to be aimed more at finer dining establishments. Some are pretty nitpicky while others get on my nerves. They left my three biggest ones off the list.
1) Sitting down at the table while you take the order. NO NO NO. We are NOT one big happy family.
2) The waiter who won't go away. Possibly worse than the waiter who can never be found. Ran into this at O'Charley's once. He was at the table every 5 minutes and would stand there and talk to us for about 2 minutes at a time. He got the worst tip I've ever left.
Those two are part of a disturbing trend of "I'm not just your waiter, I'm an integral part of your dining experience!!" Sigh.
3) Tip hustlers doing their schtick. If it looks like a blatant act of over the top brown-nosing, it probably is. It's tacky, not tippy.
